The Sacred Act Of Becoming: A Different Kind Of Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is often filled with celebration - flowers, hashtags, and beautiful words about our strength. And yes, we deserve every bit of it. Women are the builders of homes, communities, businesses, legacies, and dreams.

But beyond the flowers, there is a deeper truth worth honoring today.

There is something sacred about a woman who is becoming. Not the version of her that the world expects. Not the version that kept the peace. Not the version that smiled through exhaustion, heartbreak, disappointment, and silent prayers.

I’m talking about the version of her that is finally waking up.

tHe PoWer Of tHe PiVot

Women are constantly becoming. We become after heartbreak. We become after loss. We become after the sudden, sharp realization that the life we were living was built more for others than for ourselves.

That moment—when a woman meets herself again—is powerful. It’s the moment she stops asking for permission.

  • She starts choosing herself.

  • She starts building things that matter.

  • She starts speaking truths she once swallowed.

She starts dreaming dreams that feel both terrifying and necessary.

Slowly, something beautiful happens: she begins to remember her power. It’s not always a loud, performative power. More often, it’s the quiet kind. The kind that rebuilds a life from the ground up. The kind that starts businesses after 50. The kind that writes the story differently and heals generations.

We Are More Than What We Endure

We are often told we are strong because of what we can survive. But our true power lies in our evolution. We refuse to stay stuck in versions of ourselves that no longer fit.

We grow. We pivot. We rise. Again and again.

So today, I don’t just celebrate women for what they do. I celebrate women for who they are becoming.

I’m celebrating the woman rediscovering herself after years of putting everyone else first. I’m celebrating the woman starting over when it would have been easier to stay the same. I’m celebrating the woman choosing peace, purpose, and passion in a world that often asks her to settle.

You Are Not Behind

If that woman is you - if you are somewhere in the process of rediscovering your voice, your dreams, or your strength - know this:

  • You are not behind.

  • You are not too late.

  • You are simply becoming.

And the world is better because you are.

Mbrace Moment

If you stopped asking for permission today, what is the first thing you would start building, writing, or creating?
